JOB TITLE: Software Development Manager

Based in Chessington, we are looking for a Software Development Manager to manage and deliver the architecting, design, development and delivery of all software for new and existing DiGiCo and DiGiGrid products within a team of multi-disciplined engineers

KEY DUTIES

  • Architecting systems with a view to re-use, modularisation and hardware and software efficiency
  • Leading and delivering the development of new console software designs, using leading edge software development tools and techniques
  • Using modern simulation and verification techniques to create comprehensive testing/simulation environments
  • Ensuring the production of suitable external and in-code design documentation, as well as documents describing any software interfaces
  • Creating and driving software development plans and timescales
  • Creating and managing KPI’s in accordance with best practice for software development (e.g. error burn down rates, bugs/LOC, LOC/module etc)
  • Leading and managing debug and error activities to drive software maturity to ship standard as quickly as possible
  • Managing the software development teams both locally and remotely

 

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Electronics/Software Engineering or related subject

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years+ in complex real time software systems development
  • Experience architecting, specifying, designing and programming complex software systems. Should have successfully delivered 2-3 large real time systems to market in a lead/management role
  • Strong understanding of software engineering theory and principles
  • Familiar with leading edge software development design tools and techniques
  • The job will require a good knowledge, understanding and experience of the following :
    - C++, Delphi, Qt/QML, Java, Javascript programming languages
    - USB, Ethernet, LCD display interface standards (eg LVDS etc)
    - Experience developing GUI’s for professional applications
  • Use of software development tools (e.g. GitHib, JIRA, code evaluation tools etc)

  • Understanding of software development techniques and tools. Of particular interest is experience developing emulation techniques and testing at module/lower levels before release at the system level

JOB TITLE: Software Engineer

Based in Chessington, we are looking for a Software Engineer to work within the Research and Development team producing / testing software for exciting new digital audio mixing products.

KEY DUTIES

  • Producing specifications and developing prototype code.
  • Developing software to the highest standard using modern software development tools and techniques
  • Testing, debugging, and documenting code methodically.
  • Developing software features for both new and existing products.

 

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent knowledge.

 

EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years+ in complex real time software systems development
  • Experience programming complex software systems. Should have been involved in the successful delivery of real time systems to market
  • Strong understanding of modern software engineering theory and principles
  • Familiar with leading edge software development design tools and techniques
  • The job will require a good knowledge, understanding and experience of the following languages:
    - Qt/QML
    - Delphi
    - C++
